“36 Days of Type” is a typographic experiment that summons illustrators, designers, and artists around the world to design the letters and numbers of the Latin alphabet. I have tried to participate in the past but time has always been an issue and, after the first couple of letters, keeping up with the pace was hard. This time, to stay motivated I decided I was going to design all the letters from A to Z based on crystals using 3D software, a skill I enjoy very much and a topic that gave me the opportunity to work with a wide range of colors and different materials. Unfortunately, there are no crystals that start with the letter Y for which I had to switch to a mineral as a foundation for that design and maybe another one.
